Change Your Thinking, Change Your Life
Namaste! I’m Dr. Suparna, and I’m a kundalini yoga instructor, fashion designer, Kathak dancer, Certified Sophia Circle Leader, and Miss Tourism USA Universe 2024! Welcome to my wellness site dedicated to promoting mental health awareness and to providing spiritual resources that aid in the maintenance of good mental hygiene in the community. As a recent survivor of human trafficking and domestic violence, my journey from victim to survivor—and now to the spiritual path—has been about slaying one of the greatest demons of our age: codependency. Self-Mastery over the mind and emotional regulation through yoga, meditation, Kathak dance, fashion design, and The Sophia Code are tools that facilitated my transformation from Victim to Survivor, and now to Queen.
As Miss Tourism USA Universe, my mission is to shine a light on the importance of mental health within our communities. One of the most powerful ways I’m doing this is through my book—a deeply personal account of my transformation. In its pages, I share the challenges I’ve faced, the trauma I’ve worked to heal, and the spiritual awakening that reshaped my path. At the heart of my journey was overcoming the grip of codependency, which proved to be one of my greatest obstacles. By opening up about my story, I hope to empower others to find strength in vulnerability, seek healing, and rediscover their own inner light.
Codependency isn't just a modern day struggle as a conflict of agency between two wills in which one seeks to supress and control the other. It's the very battle Arjuna faced in the Bhagavad Gita, which echoes the battle Krishna fought with the Demon Kaliya, the symbolic story of how Krishna purifies toxic energy and ego.
Codependency isn’t just a personal block—it’s the root of collective suffering. As a conflict of agency between two wills, it forms the bedrock of generational curses like racism, patriarchy, social hierarchies, and the pervasive "rape consciousness" that still haunts our world. These are not isolated issues—they’re symptoms of humanity’s deeper disconnection from the Divine within.
I’m deeply honored to introduce you to Yoga N Chill, my activewear line designed to nurture both body and mind. This brand was born from my passion for yoga, my background in Western medicine, and most importantly, my personal healing journey. Each piece features affirmations and carefully chosen colors and Sanskrit symbols to promote mental wellness, serving as a reminder that self-care is both powerful and essential.
As Miss Tourism USA and a recent survivor of human trafficking, my life’s mission is to advocate for mental health awareness—for all people. Because while we are each perfect, whole, and complete, there is always room for growth, healing, and transformation.
Currently, Yoga N Chill is seeking an Angel Investor to help bring this vision to life—by funding mass production, screen printing of designs, and expanding our line to include skincare, candles, and fragrances. Our goal is to make these products available in yoga studios, gyms, and major retailers.
If this mission speaks to you, I would be truly grateful for your support—whether through investment, partnership, or spreading the word. Together, we can create a brand that doesn’t just look good, but heals, empowers, and uplifts.
I am grateful for the opportunity to share my survivor story and to promote my advocacy of mental health awareness through my activewear line, Yoga N Chill, at LA Fashion Week this year courtesy of TWIF Runways. The theme of my show for this year's Fashion Week was "Feel Like Spiritual Royalty", because when you wear my clothes, and you let them guide your thoughts, intentions, and actions, you start to carry yourself with an air of royalty about you. When you start practicing yoga, you start to become sober to your own Divinity and you start to embody that higher version of yourself characterized by a richness of character and a depth of spirit that can only be defined as royalty.
After Yoga N Chill’s last fashion show, I interviewed some of the models to see what they learning about each chakra. Compassion, empathy, and self-love came forth when discussing the heart chakra!
Stay chill and level up your practice in style with Yoga N Chill’s chakra inspired activewear line! Our products incorporate Eastern medicine principles like chakra specific affirmations to help you improve the quality of your life by reminding you to consciously shift your focus to your set intention when thoughts that do not serve you arise.
At the Vedanta Society, we recently discussed something many of us have witnessed—why so many young people are hesitant to call themselves Hindu. Often raised with "cultural Hinduism" (rituals without explanation, and stereotypes like caste, curry, and cows), they struggle to define or defend their faith—even to themselves.
Swami Mehananda helped clear the confusion by explaining that Hinduism isn’t polytheistic—it’s polymorphic and monistic. That means we believe in one Divine presence that takes many forms (like avatars in a video game), and also exists in every part of creation, not just in people or a single deity.
Once we understand this, it becomes much easier to explain Hinduism to our children, our friends, and anyone curious. Hinduism is not just a religion—it’s a spiritual path that honors the Divine in all things, and invites each of us to experience that connection in our own way.
Let’s help the next generation feel proud and rooted in this beautiful tradition.
Chakras are balls of electromagnetic energy located along our spine that connect to one major nerve plexus and 1-2 endocrine glands. When disbalanced, they affect our physical and mental health through hormones and neurotransmitters. We now have the technology to measure their effects on the body.
