Namaste. I’m Dr. Suparna and I am a motivational speaker, doctor, yoga instructor, fashion designer, survivor, and Kathak dancer. Welcome to my site! I designed my chakra inspired activewear line, Yoga N Chill, to help people gain a better appreciation for eastern medicine principles in a way that is stylish, catchy, and easy to understand, such that others can improve the quality of their own lives through engagement with my products. I include chakra specific affirmations as part of my designs that help people to understand how to embody the characteristics of a particular chakra for themselves by being reminded to shift their focus to their set intention each time they look down at what they are wearing. I am also an ambassador of Christ Consciousness and am currently in training to be a Sophia Circle Leader. I will be offering Sophia Circle Journeys in the near future.
As a medical doctor trained in western medicine, I have always had the desire to contribute to the emotional prosperity of others through education about health and wellness. As a recent survivor of human trafficking and debilitating physical injury, I turned to yoga, meditation, and eastern medicine principles to help me heal physically and emotionally.
Living at a yoga ashram, becoming a yoga instructor, and now through my study of kundalini yoga, I have gained a new holistic perspective to wellness that I was not afforded as simply a western medicine practitioner, and I’m grateful that the road I’ve travelled has led me to an expanded and more multi-dimensional perspective about wellness that I would now like to share with others using my clothing line as the conduit. Please check out the Yoga N Chill Boutique on this website for chakra inspired designs intended to help improve the quality of your life experience.
I also offer personalized yoga classes and serve as a wellness and spiritual coach for people with physical and medical impairments. Having attained board certification in Disability and Impairment Medicine, coupled with my personal experience as a personal injury physician for nearly a decade, I developed a deep appreciation for the variety of ways in which physical mobility can be restricted or impacted by surgical complications, structural injury to the body, and medical illness.
On a personal level, I am a survivor of domestic violence, human trafficking and debilitating physical injury secondary to electrocution. My current passion project is my book explaining the disease of non-physical domestic violence and explaining the benefits to society of legalization of domestic violence as a disease. My work in this area can be viewed at www.50ShadesOfDV.com.
I have been spiritual at heart and from as young as age 5 when I was initiated into the culture of Kathak Dance, one of India's most well preserved spiritual art forms. I have been a lifelong student of Pundit Chitresh Das and after a nearly 20 yer hiatus from dance while I pursued my career in medicine, I returned to dance as a form of physical rehabilitation after my electrocution injury and have found it to be an invaluable contributor to my mental health.
Yoga N Chill, was intended to embody the spirit of a modern, healthy lifestyle movement. The chakra-inspired designs for the activewear and bikini collections featured at Yoga N Chill were intended to spread awareness of yoga and the chakra system to promote balance, health, and overall well being.
I graduated from Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California and I have a foundation in Molecular and Cell Biology from my undergraduate studies at Carnegie Mellon University. I completed a General Surgery Internship at UCLA and went on to train in Anesthesia at Baylor. I have attained board certification in Integrative Medicine and Disability and Impairment Medicine.
As a physician, I spent nearly 10 years practicing Personal Injury, serving as the Medical Director to a Medical Spa, providing Expert Witness testimony as a patient advocate, and fighting for lowering healthcare bills for patients as a Physician Advisor to United Healthcare. Currently I serve as Chief Medical Officer to the pharmaceutical company Apelex World.
In my journey of healing, I turned to the practice of yoga and meditation. I lived for some time at the Sivananda Yoga Farm and Ashram where I became certified in Vedic Astrology and studied the art of Ayurvedic medicine. I trained in vinyasa and Bikram yoga at Yoga Source Los Gatos and I studied kundalini yoga with Yogamu. My passion for art and design coupled with my intellectual curiosity about chakras, a fundamental concept in the practice of yoga and physics, led me to found my clothing line Yoga N Chill, established in 2018. I also worked as an interior designer for Live Ready Homes and specialize in the art of Feng Sheui.

In the midst of a busy and chaotic world, it can be difficult to find inner peace. However, through meditation, mindfulness practices, and connecting with nature, it is possible to cultivate a sense of calm and tranquility.
Forgiveness can be a difficult and challenging process, but it is also incredibly powerful. By letting go of anger and resentment, we can free ourselves from negative emotions and move forward with compassion and understanding.
Gratitude is a powerful emotion that can shift our perspective and help us find joy in even the smallest things. By cultivating a sense of gratitude, we can increase our overall happiness and well-being.
Taking care of ourselves is essential for our physical, emotional, and spiritual health. This can include practices such as exercise, healthy eating, and self-reflection.
The path to self-discovery can be a lifelong journey. By exploring our beliefs, values, and passions, we can gain a deeper understanding of ourselves and our place in the world.
Connection with others is essential for our well-being. Whether through community, friendship, or romantic relationships, human connection can provide us with support, love, and a sense of belonging.
